During my time working for an organisation specialising in low carbon heating and energy technology. I thought about how emotional appeals could be used in their marketing strategy. I decided that the process of using the sun as a power source, should be made more relatable to everyday life .
Using a hand based on the look of a solar panel I hoped that consumers would compare this to an action such as picking fruit from a tree. (Harmless to the tree but beneficial to the person). I also hoped it would give potential customers the a sense of empowerment. Knowing they could harness such a huge natural force to use for their own benefit.
If the look of the idea was developed more it would hopefully try and state that solar technology is advanced, powerful, futuristic ; More so than other energy sources such as oil or gas.
